Leaving a Legacy

We believe that Christ plans to use us to shine His light of new life into every heart, every home and every community surrounding this hilltop. God is moving mountains, starting with our own hearts. By the death, resurrection and outpoured Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have been forgiven and set free to boldly fulfill His plan. The improvements to our campus will not only bless us, but generations to come.

What must be done?

Pray. Use the Compelled by His Love devotion guide to seek out what commitment the Lord asks of you individually. Ask that the Holy Spirit prepare your heart and our church for the Master’s Plan.

Discuss. Join the church staff and campaign leaders in conversations about the Compelled by His Love campaign both at church and in the homes of St. Paul members.

Participate. Invite others in the church family to learn about the campaign and join in on these conversations. Ask questions. Continue to pray.

Contribute. Complete a commitment card and offer it as a sacrifice of praise during Celebration Sunday on May 1.

A sacrifice pleasing to Him

What we give is important to God, but how we give matters even more. What our heavenly Father desires more than anything is a grateful heart, overflowing with thanksgiving. We are not asked to contribute identical gifts. We are called to present sacrificial offerings that please and honor God.

Join us on May 1 for Celebration Sunday , when we meet together as a church family under the tent to rejoice in His faithfulness and goodness and offer up our commitments to the Lord.

A final thought

“Christ’s love compels us … He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)

These words capture what Christ has done for us and continues to do now, and they provide the theme for our campaign. None of this is about buildings or programs or even our ambitions. It is all about Christ. We live totally for Him and His purposes. We will do whatever He calls us to do. We are Compelled by His Love.
